Welcome to Lake of the Woods School, ranked one of America's Best Schools by U.S. News and World Report.  In 2008, the Minnesota Rural Education Association (MREA) presented Lake of the Woods School with the Award of Distinction for the Enrichment Program and in 2009 the MREA presented Lake of the Woods High School the Award of Distinction for the High School Olympics Program. 

In 2008, as a result of accepting a Kern Family Foundation Grant, Lake of the Woods High School implemented the Project Lead The Way curriculum.

This year, Lake of the Woods High School is a pilot program site for the Sparsely Populated Agricultural Education Program through the University of Minnesota-Crookston.
